Multan :: Ali Haider Gillani Kidnapped by unknown Kidnappers
According to details, Ali Gilani was kidnapped by two unknown gunmen in a black Honda City when they accosted him in Multan while he was on the way to a rally. They opened fire at his car and five people were injured in the firing. His secretary was also killed in the firing.
Witnesses claimed that Gilani was injured in the kidnapping. Gilani is a candidate for candidate NA-148 contesting from Pakistan People's Party (PPP) seat.
Sources on site have stated that Ali Haider Gilani's personal secretary Mohyuiddin and his gunman were killed during the attack.
His brother Ali Musa Gilani has said that elections would not be held in Multan because of the poor law and order situation in the country. He was visibly distraught at the kidnapping of his brother.
Protests in the area have begun and members of the PPP have stated that if no information regarding Ali Haider Gilani is received by today, the Punjab police will be to blame.
The police has now cordoned off the area.
