Election Commession of Pakistan takes notice of delay in polling
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken a serious note of the complaints received from several areas of the country regarding delay in the polling process Saturday, Geo News reported.
The ECP has contacted the provincial election commissioners after receiving numerous complaints about delay in polling in several areas and sought explanation.
The commission has also instructed the provincial commissioners to extend the deadline if the reasons for interruption are valid.
The ECP inquired that why the polling staff could not reach the polling stations on time and has directed the concerned authorities to solve the matter on urgent basis.
